The computer and monitor acts normal and alt tabs out of a fullscreened game instantly like it did prior to getting the new monitor. Made sure that power cord and display port cables were secureįIXED: So I went into NVIDIA Control Panel and lowered the Hz from 165 to 144, to match my 2nd display (BenQ), and it seems that the black screening issue is gone now. Disabled Fullscreen Optimization in file with no positive results Tested fullscreen games on my 2nd (BenQ) display, and had no issues anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this issue? or how to fix it? I want to actually fix this black screening issue. The obvious and easy fix is to switch the game from fullscreen to windowed, but that's not really what I want to do. Usually I can tab out and back in instantly, but since I bought this new monitor I've noticed that when I alt tab, the screen seems to lose connection, or power or something temporarily, because the screen goes completely black for a few seconds before coming back on. The system I am using is pretty powerful, and I never had any issues with alt tabbing out or back into a fullscreen game prior to purchasing the new monitor. This is only happening on my ASUS monitor, and not the BenQ that I also have connected to the same computer. This issue started happening after purchasing a new monitor (ASUS VG278QR). So as the title suggests, I keep getting a temporary black screen after tabbing out of and back into a fullscreened game.
